USA citizens spent more then two billion dollars on tooth whitening this year and this trend is growing year after year because more and more people are becoming aware that white teeth are not luxury anymore but demand. White teeth and nice looking smiley are associated with beauty, wealth, and youth in modern world. Persons with white teeth are more attractive to their partners, they will get good job much easier and will have more self confidence then someone with yellow teeth, it's a well known fact.

Few Words About Teeth Structure: Teeth are made up of 2 layers - inner one which is softer called dentin and outer one that's harder, porcelain-like, called enamel. Enamel is layer that gives white color to teeth but over time it becomes thinner and more transparent. Dentin which can be yellow-brownish to greenish-grey (depending of individuals genetics) will become more and more visible as Enamel is getting thinner. Also there's a 3rd layer that builds up over time as we eat, drink, smoke, etc... Some of materials from that 3rd layer get soaked into Enamel over time changing it's color from original white into yellowish or brownish in later stages.

How teeth can be whitened? There are 2 basic methods:
First: Teeth whitening, a process that uses whitening product to restore original white color of Enamel by removing 3rd layer and stains caused by it.
Second: Teeth bleaching, a process that uses whitening product to change base color of teeth, teeth will become few shades lighter than their original color depending of person's original color and general teeth health.
